The dog becomes trained not to bark over time, as it learns to anticipate the spray when it has the urge to bark. Gradually the dog learns not to bark to avoid the spray and this becomes a habit.

The range of the remote-control is around 100 m which is usually quite sufficient. The benefit of this type dog spray collar is that it is only activated when the dogs barking is inappropriate. Naturally not all of a dog’s barking needs to be controlled. Another benefit of the remote-control dog spray collar is that it can be used for other types of training such as obedience training as well training the dog not to bark.
